Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources

Mississippi Youth Program Around the Clock - Transitional Age Group (MYPAC - TAG)

For over 30 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has offered a broad continuum of services and programs to individuals ranging from the very young to the well seasoned and young at heart. To better meet the needs of those we serve, a new program, Mississippi Youth Program Around the Clock - Transitional Age Group (MYPAC-TAG), has been added to address the unique needs of those in transition from adolescence into adulthood.

MYPAC-TAG is a home and community-based Medicaid waiver program offering intensive case management, wraparound services and respite. MYPAC-TAG provides the services needed without the youth leaving their home, community and support systems.

Program participants consult with a mental health professional a minimum of three times per week and have access to a mental health provider 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The program provides alternate services INSTEAD of traditional psychiatric residential treatment facilities.

Intensive Case Management is a key element in this program. The case manager links the family to resources within the community, reviews client progress and facilitates access to services across providers or other entities.

Wraparound services will occur in the community, where services are individualized to meet the youth and family needs. The services below include but are not limited to an array of services provided to the MYPAC-TAG participant and family.

Respite is short-term intensive therapeutic treatment either in a community-based setting such as a group home or in an in patient setting for those requiring supervision/intervention on a 24-hour basis. The goal is to assist the individual in reaching the level of independence needed to return to their home setting.

Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible for MYPAC-TAG:
